Dreamer's Week

Seven days of Lovecraft passages and dream-city artwork around the Birthday of the Dreamer.

When it runs

Dreamer's Week runs from August 17 through August 23, with August 20 marked in the app as Birthday of the Dreamer. During the week, Void swaps the ordinary daily rhythm for seven hand-picked Lovecraft passages.

The event is built as a quiet reading week rather than a promotion pasted on top of the app. Open Void each day and the passage, title, and event artwork move with the date.

What appears in the app

The week moves through fear, inward dreamings, alienation, the edge of the world, oblivion, black seas of infinity, and the hidden worlds beyond the stars. The artwork shifts into a dark dream-city mode: impossible towers, a candlelit desk, and a narrow place to read above the mist.

The passages are drawn from public-domain works and presented with the same source attribution as the rest of the archive. No account or subscription is required to open the day's reading.

Why this week

Lovecraft's birthday is August 20, but one date is too small for the shape of the work. Dreamer's Week gives the app a little more room: not only the birthday, but the surrounding nights where dream, dread, and cosmic distance can gather.
